I have been using outlook on my mac and configured my emails, it has been working fine until recently. I receive this error code
(my iMAC OX El Capitan is 10.11.5, Outlook for mac 2011 v 14.6.1)
An operation on the server timed out. The server may be down, overloaded,
or there may be too much net traffic. Error code 3259
I have searched the net and found this top that suggests changing port to 587, (Outlook 2011 Error 3259 -'An operation on the server timed out. The server may be down, overloaded, or there may be too much net traffic.')
It doesn't work
I’m using Google apps for my emails, which seem to very fine on any windows machine. My incoming mail server is imap.gmail.com - 993 and smtp.gmail.com for outgoing – 25 which originally worked very well.
I have also tried 80, 3535
This doesn't work either.
Please, if anybody has any ideas how to fix this problem would be appreciated. I purchased outlook especially for the email system and it has been working fine, no changes made to any my mac, firewall if off etc.
Help?
Thanks
